Comings and Goings

Mar 25, 1998 -- I'm Petra. I also miss my country very much. My family wanted to come here, but I didn't.

Recently, a friend of mine was killed in a car accident on the West Seattle Bridge. Four of the family members were killed. I want to help the family send the bodies of the family members back to Mexico so they can be buried in the family plot. So I am collecting money for this.

This death was very sad for me. My friend has not been in the US very long. I think a lot about luck and fate.

My job is taking care of another Spanish speaking person. She is elderly and that's my job. I only speak English in this class. So I realize that I must stay in school to learn English.
